About us:
For the Pontians, piroski was a basic ritual delicacy at every family celebration.
The original piroski recipe came with our grandmother, Parthenopi Amanatidou, she traveled from Trebizond to Polis from where she finally arrived in Greece in 1922, after the persecution.
She was a member of a wealthy family, who managed to save a large part of their property and allocate it for the common good of all the newly settled Pontians in their then place of residence, in Haravgi Keratsiniou.
Due to her nostalgia for her lost homeland and her desire to preserve the memory of the refugees, Parthenopi Amanatidou created the first Pontiac Piroski Bakery in Piraeus.
Following in her footsteps, our parents, Spyros & Vasiliki Mani, continued the family Bakery and kept the character of the business stubbornly indestructible, even though the era had begun to favor easy solutions, ready-made frozen products that promised greater profit with "slightly" lower quality.
This family tradition is also shared by us, the third generation, having as our main motive the respect for our customers and the same stubbornness for the non-negotiable quality of our products, and we make sure to keep unchanged the recipe of the Traditional Pontic Piroski of the grandmother.
Our store is located at 50 Navarchou Notara Street in Piraeus It would be an honor to visit us,
Yours sincerely,
The Manis family
